Five-time world champion Sebastien Ogier is just two stages from victory on the debut season of WRC Rally Monte Carlo.
On Saturday evening a detachment of French from rivals was reduced to half a minute, but on Sunday morning the defending champion regained the status quo, increasing the distance to 46.2 seconds.
At the end of the 14th special stage Sebastien was increasing the gap from the Estonian driver Ott Tanaka 11.5 seconds and on to a 15-m again ahead of the Toyota driver, despite only the seventh time in the dope.
Ott drove zakljuchitelny morning SOO pretty slow, but it does not jeopardise his second place in the overall standings, as Jari-Matti Latvala, running third, behind the leader by nearly two minutes.
“Serious mistakes I was not, – said Ogier after the 15th of the SU, but at the end of the stage had to slow down – some fans lit fire, and the smoke nothing could be seen”.
“It was a difficult stage, î said Tanak. – We have a large spacing in front and behind, so I don’t run the risk and just going at my own pace”.
Pilots Toyota continue to hold three spots from second to fourth, although Esapekka Lappi far behind teammates.
