Toyota pilot Nasser al-Attiyah won the third stage of the rally-RAID “Dakar-2018” from Pisco to San Juan de Marcona.
The closest rival Qatari rider has become the representative of Peugeot’s Stephane Peterhansel, who lost to the winner 2 minutes and 37 seconds. In the Protocol results for Peterhansel is located three pilot Peugeot, namely Carlos Sainz Sr., Cyril despres and Sebastien Loeb.
Thanks to this success, al-Attiyah managed to climb from fifth to third place in the overall standings, who led Peterhansel, rolled away to second place despres. However, Cyril plays Stefan in just 3 minutes and 11 seconds.
Loeb is fourth, and the fifth line is Giniel de Villiers in a Toyota.
In the motorcycle category, the third stage was won by Sam Sunderland. The reigning champion of the Dakar ahead of nearest rival Kevin Benavides for 3 minutes, and 3 seconds.
Moreover, Sunderland regained the lead in the standings after yesterday’s leader Joan Barreda due to navigation error lost nearly 28 minutes: the Spaniard fell back to 15th place in the General classification.
