The Sky Sports F1 expert Ted Kravitz shared his thoughts about what really lies behind the recent statement of Valtteri Bottas.
This week, the Mercedes driver said he was not going to get involved in psychological games with teammate Lewis Hamilton.
Valtteri Bottas: I have no intention of wasting time on mind games with Hamilton
“Psychological games helped Nico Rosberg to beat Lewis in a direct battle for the title. In this context, it is necessary to consider that Bottas has no contract for next year. I think now he’s trying to play the role of a good kid who tries to please everybody, said Kravitz in live Sky Sports F1. – He wants to stay at Mercedes for 2019, but knows that the team is looking to Daniel ricciardo, closely monitoring the performances of Esteban aukon and exploring options for the long term, if you need to replace Lewis.
I think the important thing for Bottas now is to make sure that he has the support of Hamilton, and to demonstrate it to the team.”
