Reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton topped the final classification the final day of the first block of pre-season tests in Barcelona.
At the end of the penultimate hour, the Mercedes driver drove a lap with a record time of 1.19,333, and not the fastest part of Medium tyres. For comparison, a year ago, the fastest in the first test block was a partner of the British Valtteri Bottas, who then showed Ultrasoft 1.19,705.
Who became the second pilot of McLaren Stoffel Vandorn his best round came on the softest part of Hypersoft, but lost to the Hamilton 0,521 seconds. Rounded out the top 3 at the end of Thursday, Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel, who, like most, revealed its own fastest time on the Soft tyres.
Fourth, with a gap 0,076 seconds from Vettel, was the pilot Haas Kevin Magnussen. Fernando Alonso, who replaced Stoffele of Vandorn driving MCL33 after lunch, was in fifth place, but ran a 1.5 seconds slower than the leader.
Russian driver Sergey Sirotkin to the end of his morning shift did not have time to go to slicks and ended up staying with a time of 1.31,979, which is mounted on the intermediate tyres.
Leader in traveled distance was the pilot Toro Rosso Pierre went Out, drove the 147 laps. Less kilometers on account of max Verstappen, a Dutchman from Red Bull Racing overcame only 35 laps and finished the day, taking off into the gravel at 12-m turn.
