Legendary driver Stirling moss has decided to withdraw from the public and focus on family life.
At the end of 2016, four-time Vice-champion Formula 1 became ill and spent 134 days in the hospital in Singapore, where he was taken with a serious infection of the chest.
“After a severe infection, and subsequent slow and difficult recovery, it was decided that at the age of 88 years, this indefatigable man will finally retire to spend more time with loved ones, – reads the statement of Stirling moss’s son Elliott. – All of our extended family thanks you for the love and support you have given us for many years, and wishes you a happy 2018.”
From motor racing Stirling moss officially retired in 2011.
