Manor considering an option to return to Formula 1 in 2021.
However, a comeback Manor can happen only if the leadership of F1 will adopt the new technical and financial regulations.
In January 2017 the parent company, who owned the Manor F1, have gone bankrupt. Thus, the team was unable to participate in the season of 2017.
Over the past two years, the team run by John Booth and Graeme Loudon, played in the world championship on races on endurance in the LMP2 category, but in “superstone” WEC it will move to LMP1.
“If nothing changes, the limits on spending will not be implemented, we won’t be back in F1, as they will not be able to compete with the top teams, – quotes Turun Sanomat Loudon. – Nevertheless from the FIA and Liberty we’ve heard that there is a work on reduction of costs, and rules engines will become more feasible for private teams.
In this case we will be interested in returning to the championship because we have a booth and still had unfinished business in F1″.
