The FIA has decided to tighten the rules of participation of the pilots in Friday practice during the race weekends F1.
In 2017, the racers were awarded a superlicense to participate in Friday’s training session if he knew regulations and drove 300 km behind the wheel of the machine F1 is not less than 180 days prior to the reporting session of the Grand Prix.
In addition to these requirements, in 2018, the pilots will need to have scored 25 points superlicense by the FIA for the last three years, or spend six races in F2.
If such policies were in effect in 2017, Alfonso Celis would not have received the opportunity to represent Force India on Fridays.
