The owners of the Formula 1 company Liberty Media is going to change the official logo of the championship.
As informs Motorsport-Total, the unit of Formula One Licensing B. V., engaged in the trade marks F1, registered in the intellectual property office of the European Union (EUIPO) three new logo.
No official comments have not been received. But it is possible that one of the new lines in the near future will replace the current logo, which has existed since 2003.
Moreover, known autosorting expert Joe Saved does not exclude that the replacement will happen on the upcoming Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi, which will close the season 2017.
“There is an opinion that the old logo many saw only a flying letter F and did not notice unit – Saved writes in his blog. – New options don’t look so dynamic and someone can even seem boring, but its purpose they perform. Will they increase the number of sales of Souvenirs? It’s still a big question. Anyway, it’s done and, as far as I know, the new logo will be used on the Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi.
But in my opinion, it would be wiser to wait until the off-season, ask the opinion of the fans who will be happy to respond to such a survey. Alternatively, one could imagine a new logo for a General presentation of cars that would attract the attention of the whole world.”
