The FIA President Jean Todt is confident that medical checks during the race weekend will be enough to accurately assess the physical capabilities of Robert Kubica.
Pole close to signing a contract with Williams and the return to Formula 1 after a six year break caused by the consequences of the accident at the rally. Limited mobility of the injured right hand continues to raise questions as to the abilities of the pole, but Todt has no doubts that the FIA doctors will give an accurate answer to this question.
“Riders come and go, but of course the Kubica situation is unique. He had to interrupt his career after a terrible accident at the rally, – quotes the Todt AUTOSPORT. He managed to recover and returned to rally racing. Now he again got behind the wheel of a formula one car. Let’s see, time will tell. But we have the highest standards when conducting medical tests, so the decision for the doctors.”
