Test-pilot of Force India Nikita Mazepin commented on the first day of testing at the Hungaroring.
Mazepin worked in VJM10 in the first half of the day: he drove 52 laps and finished sixth in the final Protocol.
“It’s been a whole year since when I last tested technique of F1 at Silverstone. All this time I waited to be able to return to the cockpit of the car, said Mazepin. – Another great experience. I enjoy working with the team.
I was interested in testing new cars. So far I like everything. The morning race was formed for me successfully. I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s evening session.
In the meantime, I will review our work for today, listen to plan for tomorrow and try to understand how and in what areas I can improve environment.”
Lucas Auer, who finished ninth, said: “This is an incredible experience. When I left the pit lane and removed the simulator, I was given a shock. This car has a fantastic speed, especially in turns.
In the cockpit of the car, I felt confident. In addition, the technique of F1 is very demanding on the pilots after the two segments on the track I felt it. Easier it becomes when you get into the right rhythm”.
