Former F1 racer Robert Kubica, who was forced to end his career in the Royal races in 2011 due to a serious accident in the rally, has hinted that the idea of returning to F1 visits his head.
Recently Kubica has already taken a step forward in F1, having tested a GP3 car in Italy.
“I’m happy with the way passed the tests, although I definitely have some work to do, – said the pole in an interview with Polish newspaper Sokolim Okiem. – I have much catching up to do in terms of physical shape and training in General.”
It would seem, to the injury of the hand eliminates the possibility of the return of Kubica in F1. However, the pole is not so sure.
“I never said that I will return or not return [to F1] – continued Robert. I don’t know what will happen next. I had the chance to take part in the tests, but it was too early. Of course, to sit behind the wheel of a F1 car would be cool, but so what?
As they say, patience has its rewards, but the Formula 1 has its own driving force. Don’t even know if that rider made his debut in F1 twice with an interval of 15 years.
Was the same course as [Michael] Schumacher, who returned to the sport, but for me, such would be a real second debut”.
