Sauber racer Pascal Wehrlein admitted that he would like to play again in the Champions Race, despite a serious accident in which he fell on the event this year.
At the finish of groups Wehrlein, battling with Felipe Massa, caught the TechPro barriers and flew into the air, then landed on the barriers.
In the end, the driver received fractures of the cervical vertebrae, which was forced to miss the first two Grand Prix of the season 2017. However, the German still plans to take part in the Race of Champions in the future.
“I would again acted in the Race of Champions. Maybe not this year and not driving three – wheeled car,” said Wehrlein in an interview with AUTOSPORT.
In 2014 Wehrlein reached the final of the Race of Champions, where he lost to David Coulthard.
“It was cool, continued Pascal. – In this event the main thing – not a race, and communication with pilots from other series.
We’re having a good time there, so I’m pleased to again accept the invitation to speak in the ROC”.
