The pilot of Renault Nico Hulkenberg received four penalty points to his licence for two separate events during the Grand Prix of China.
The German started from the seventh position and decided to go to the pits for slicks at the end of the first lap of the race.
However, the fact that first virtual track appeared safety car, and then the real machine security, had a negative impact on the prospects of Hulkenberg.
In addition, the stewards had caught Nico in overtaking Romain Grosjean during the virtual safety car and Markus Eriksson – in the mode of machine safety. For these violations, the German received a penalty in five and ten seconds respectively.
