General WTCC promoter Francois Ribeiro has welcomed the change in format of the race weekend in Macau, which will be held in the second half of November.
This year’s world Touring returns to the legendary city route Gia after a two year hiatus. Before both races were held on Sunday afternoon, when Europe was deep in the night, which was uncomfortable for the audience. In 2017, the stage will be held in a new format – the race will take place on Saturday and the main race on Sunday.

This will attract a wider international audience in Asia, Europe and the middle East.
