The Honda rider Norbert Michelis showed the best time in the first practice session of the WTCC at the Nordschleife, despite a puncture and subsequent departure from the road.
First who scored a quick circle during a 60-minute session was the Nick Katsburg. A former pilot of Lada Sport now fighting for Cyan Polestar Racing, led the Protocol with a score of 8.47,034, before on the track appeared yellow flags. The reason was a crash racer RC Motorsport Lada Yann of Elahera. Because of the obvious problems with the steering 20-year-old Frenchman went off the road at high speed crashed into a fence. Immediately after the accident, Yann lame, but, according to the official Twitter of World Touring, the debutant did not receive any injuries.

After the removal of the regime yellow flags, Michelis improved time Katsburga almost five seconds, showing 8.43,255.
On the next round rider factory Honda team drove even faster on the third, fourth and fifth sectors, and could improve their result, but because of a puncture flew to 64th turn.
Almost at the same time on the track stopped Tiago Monteiro. My partner Michelis having problems with the fuel pump, but at least he was able to return to the pits.
Also no luck Hafu Rob, whose car, as the leader, there was a puncture. In a test session with the same problem faced by both drivers Volvo Katsburg and thed björk.
“We act in the world championship, and it’s not good when there are so many punctures. Yokohama needs to do something,” commented a disgruntled Huff, who, despite the challenge, was the second.
Third place went to the pilot Sébastien Loeb Citroën Racing Tom Chilton, while Katsburg failed to improve and remained fourth.
In fifth place a minute before the checkered flag went up the ROAL Chevrolet driver Tom Coronel.
Sixth place was taken by Mehdi Bennani, ahead of Monteiro, rounded out the top ten Nestor Girolami, Esteban, Gergeri and Rio Michigami.
Final practice kicks off on Friday at 9:15 Moscow time.
