Newcomer Munnich Motorsport’s Rob Huff is confident that he made the right decision leaving the factory Honda.
In 2017, the British will act on the Citroen C-Elysee. Pre-season tests in Monza Rob has already shown his speed: he was fastest in all four test sessions.
“After I drove a few laps on this car, I understood why Citroen has dominated the WTCC for the past three years, said Huff in an interview with TouringCarTimes. – Each machine that I have flown in my life, had its drawbacks. This car has no flaws – it runs very stable, no crashes.
Everyone was talking about how difficult it is to manage it, but as soon as I first sat behind the wheel in Spain, I immediately felt a connection with the machine.
As for our rivals, I know very well Honda. Last year I tested what they want to show this season. However, testing a Citroen, I don’t think they will catch us.
Volvo? They pretty miserably in 2016, the handicap was too big to cut it for one winter. They will be quick, but unlikely to overtake our car.”
