Car Lada Vesta will remain on the starting grid of the WTCC in the upcoming season, despite the departure of the factory team Lada Sport.

I just can’t believe what is happening, said Urlacher, whose mother Cathy, sister of Ivan Mueller, successfully participated in the race on machines with open wheel in the mid ‘ 80s, I was very impressed with the car, and the team has done a good job. It is clear that I have much to learn, but the team has a very valuable experience in the WTCC”.
WTCC promoter Francois Ribeiro said: “We are very pleased that a solution was found that will allow you to continue the car has won the race to remain in the WTCC. Also we welcome such a talented newcomer like Ian Urlacher, whose mentor is John Mueller. Along with Aurelien Panisa our League got two young riders with great potential. It will be interesting to follow their progress and performances in the season 2017. I’m sure both will make a good impression.”
Urlacher will act under the number 68, which in the previous two years used Muller.
