Nine-time world rally champion Sebastien Loeb has shared his impressions of the return to the WRC.
Last weekend in Mexico, the legendary Frenchman spent his debut of three planned stages in the season of 2018. Despite the first part on gravel with Argentina for 2013 and overall the first performance with Monte-Carlo 2015 Loeb very quickly found the right pace and by mid-race took the lead. But, alas, a puncture su14 cost him more than two minutes and drove to fifth place.

“I quickly adapted to the new machine and found a good rhythm, – quotes the official site Loeb WRC. It was nice to get the lead. It is a pity that a puncture brought us out of struggle, but overall the weekend went well.”
On the same 14th stage wheel broke Dani Sordo, but the Spaniard, in contrast to Loeb, did not stop for replacement and lost only half a minute.
“Yes, I believe that we shouldn’t have stayed, continued nine-time world champion. – A bit of a stupid situation, but it will be a lesson for us. Realizing that the wheel is broken, we, as in “Dakar”, stopped and changed it. But it was the wrong decision. We could have lost much less time.”
