At the start of Rally Mexico, which takes place these days, riders came out for two people who won 14 titles of world champion in classic rally – Sebastien Ogier was joined by the legendary Sebastien Loeb returning to WRC for the first time since Rallye Monte-Carlo 2015.
In a joint interview with Red Bull Media two SEB told about a new opportunity to fight on the same track and shared his memories about team conflict in Citroen in 2011.
“I am very pleased to meet with SEB and Daniel [Elena, co-driver Loeb]. Good memories more than bad – said Ogier. – We had a strained relationship. But just each of us sought to win the championship . The history of Motorsport is replete with such situations, especially when fighting among themselves partners.”
Loeb added: “It was one of the first cases where a partner acted with me. Then the media liked to provoke a war between us, and it was not very nice. We just fought each other. Today, I respect Ogier and his achievements, he has achieved a lot over the years”.
