The reigning and five-time world rally champion Sebastien Ogier commented on his unsuccessful performance on Rally Sweden last weekend.
Because of the awkward position in the start list, the overall leader lost a huge amount of time on the first day and in the future could not rise above the tenth place. To somehow save the situation, Ogier purposely missed the last special stage and got the penalty, but was in a favorable position on the track and was able to score four bonus points.
Thierry Neuville won Rally Sweden
“For many years I called to change the rules starting order, – quotes the edition of Ogier AutoHedbo. But at least we were able to score points. Of course, I would prefer to fight for the victory or at least podium, but from the beginning of the weekend we had no chance.”
After two stages Ogier is second in the standings, ten points behind Thierry Neuville.
