Racer M-Sport Elfyn Evans scored a sensational victory in Rally GB, becoming the first Briton after Richard burns in 2000, who managed to win the home stage.
Even after the shakedown on Thursday the current world champion Sebastien Ogier called Welsh main favorite and no mistake. After the first special stage on Friday, Evans took first place, which anyone to the finish on Sunday was not lost. By mid-race on Saturday, his advantage reached half a minute, and by the end of the day, Elfin took a shot at 53 seconds. With such a margin on Sunday he only had to avoid problems and errors with which he successfully managed and won the first career victory.
“Thank you to everyone who has supported me all these years and helped me to achieve such success. I dedicate this victory to you,” said Evans at the finish.
Of course, a lot of attention throughout the weekend in Wales was focused on the main contenders for the title of Sebastien Ogier and Thierry Neuville. Several times the Frenchman and the Belgian exchanged positions. Sunday morning burst forward Thierry, which is the final special stage took a break for six seconds.

Ott Tanak has confidently spent the first half of the race and fought on equal footing with Ogier and Neuville, however, on Saturday evening lost a number of positions and eventually became only the sixth.
