Bronze medalist of the last three seasons Andreas Mikkelsen will enter the Rally Monte-Carlo-2017, according to Rallye-Magazin.
According to published bid sheet starting stage of the world championship 2017, Norway will perform behind the wheel of the Skoda Fabia R5 in the WRC2 category.
Last season, Mikkelsen won two victories in Poland and Australia – and before the final stage, fought for second place in the championship with Thierry Neuville. After the departure of Volkswagen from WRC he and teammates Sebastien Ogier and Jari-Matti Latvala was left without a place. But if Ogier has signed a contract with M-Sport and Latvala switched to Toyota, Mikkelsen is still in negotiations.
Participation in WRC2 at Rally Monte Carlo does not mean that the Norwegian will spend the entire season in the Junior category. One of the options to continue his career called the DMACK team.
