Next Sunday on the Japanese Fuji will host the seventh stage of the world championship on races on endurance 2017, where the crew of No. 26, together with the Novel by Rusinova and Pierre Tire will perform Briton James Rossiter.
James Rossiter will replace Alex Lynn in the composition of the G-Drive Racing at the world Cup in Fuji
He will replace his compatriot Alex Lynn, who is leaving the team G-Drive Racing.
34-year-old Rossiter favoured in endurance racing since 2008. Prior to that, he participated in the youth formula series and worked as a test pilot for three teams in F1. The last five years James participated in the Japanese Super GT championship and FIA WEC races.
G-Drive Racing has an impressive history of performances in Fuji: in three previous seasons WEC Russian team has been the winner of the Japanese stage.
“The team decided to end the collaboration with Alex Lynn as its program in the Formula E will not allow you to completely focus on the final stages of the FIA WEC, we can not arrange, – said Rusinov. – We considered several candidates for the role of the third pilot crew in Fuji and in the end we decided to invite James Moreover.
In our opinion, it is a logical choice given his knowledge of the track on the performances in Japan’s Super GT series and Superformula, as well as experience driving prototypes. The decision on the composition of the crew on two subsequent stage is still pending, we will announce it later.
Our goal is to finish the season on a high note. Team G-Drive Racing have won three in Fuji and we will make every effort to climb to the top of the podium at this track for the fourth time in a row.”
