Win and team orders Porsche “6 hours of Austin”, G-Drive Racing took 12 th place
“We had the speed to compete for a place in the top three, but the fault of the motor has deprived us of a chance at a high result. It is not the fault of the team, but in the race it happens, – quotes the press Rusinov-G-Drive Racing. We could go the distance, the engine was literally on its last legs, but still we managed to finish and even gain some points. In such circumstances, to achieve more was impossible. But most importantly, our team once again demonstrated their fighting spirit, no one lowered their hands, and my teammates did a great job with their work, as well as mechanics and engineers in the pits. Now we need to deal with our supplier that was the cause of failure of the power plant. Let’s hope that on the remaining two stages we will be able to leave the bad luck behind. Will try to finish the season well.”
After six stages of the world Cup, the Russian team ranked sixth in the General classification. Next WEC race will take place on 15 October in Japan.
