The second part of the 2016 season of the world championship on races on endurance will start this weekend. Participants will enjoy the classic FIA WEC six-hour marathon at the Nurburgring, which for the first time in the modern history of the championship went into the calendar two years ago, and in the past often been a part of the world sportscar Championships. The race “6 hours of nürburgring” will be the fourth stage of the 2017 FIA WEC.
A year ago the race “6 hours of nürburgring” was the first since the rebirth of the world sportscar Championships in 2012, which along with Le Mans was held in the summer months.
This race essentially became a replacement stage in Sao Paulo, but there is nothing surprising in the fact that the German stage was fixed in the schedule. The new nürburgring is a something like a smaller version of the classic track. Indeed, with its design in the mid-80s, the objective was to create a track that would convey the atmosphere of the “Northern Loop”, but it would have been shorter and much safer.

In past years, Porsche has presented a body kit with maximum downforce it at the Nurburgring, which allowed them to break away. But then in the first race of the season, they used intermediate Aero-kit.
As for Toyota, the advantage, of course, that they already know the body kit high downforce at the first race of the season. Jose Maria Lopez after a speech as part of the third crew at Le Mans, returns to Conway and Kobayashi behind the wheel of car number 7.

Race 6 hours of nürburgring will be held on Sunday 16 July, the start of the race at 14:00 Moscow time. Qualifications will take place tomorrow, Saturday, July 15, at 15:55.
