The leader of the crew of the No. 27 SMP Racing team, competing in the race “24 hours of Le Mans” Victor Shaitar told Autopartsway that his fourth start in the daily race on the ring Sarta and how he prepared for it with their teammates Mikhail Aleshin and Sergey Sirotkin.
“This year the snowfall came as a surprise, at Le Mans, however, usually rain and cold and then so hot. Fears, of course, is about the temperature in the cockpit, but I hope it will not be a big problem for us, – says Victor. – Still we have a very experienced crew.
Sergey – backed racer Renault F1 very quickly adapted, he had only minor difficulties with quick change drivers, but we worked out.

And Michael, who competes in IndyCar, did a very good lap in qualifying and worked us a little miracle made it to the Top 10. So far, so good, we changed a lot in the settings, the pace is good.
Importantly, the machine is not much broke, and the little things too. As in a daily race things like a hitch at the pit stop, changing or unplanned repair of a very strong influence on the final result. It is also very important night to be extremely careful when overtaking cars categories GT.
I sincerely hope to repeat our last year’s result and reach the podium completely Russian crew. “24 hours of Le Mans” is one of the main races in the season, so I was very happy when SMP Racing decided to participate this year, together with Dallara.
