The first Russian Formula 1 driver Vitaly Petrov is the main candidate for the last vacant place in the Manor team for the season-2017 in the world championship on races on endurance.
According to the information of AUTOSPORT, racer, a former Renault and Caterham are close to signing a contract with the British team for the full season.
Manor sports Director Graham Loudon neither confirmed nor denied the invitation of the 32-year-old Russian.
“We hope to announce the driver line-up in the coming days,” commented Loudon.
