German manufacturer Porsche has released pictures of its new 919 Hybrid LMP1 made during the tests at Paul Ricard last week. On Friday the team during the tests in Monza WEC will carry out the official launch of the new car.
919 Hybrid LMP1 is equipped with 2-liter petrol V4 engine, which is said to be the most efficient engine in the history of Porsche. The new motor is connected with 8-megajoule hybrid system as their main rivals from Toyota.
In Monza Porsche will introduce the car with low downforce. Information about which aerodynamic configuration manufacturer chose for the first race of the season at Silverstone, remains closed.
For the third year in a row in the Porsche do not change your chassis, and team principal Andreas Seidl does not see any problems.
“The new 919 Hybrid offers possibilities of optimization of small parts and to further improve efficiency, said Seidl. – We haven’t changed the car since last year, but after analyzing the rest of the car, of course, made the appropriate changes”.
In the Porsche for the upcoming season have changed your racing team. Last year’s Champions Romain Dumas and Marc Lieb will not take part in the championship this year.
