The pilot program SMP Racing Mikhail Alyoshin took part in the next phase of work on the prototype of BR1 in the Italian office of the Russian company BR Engineering. Together with specialists as well as staff of the design Bureau Dallara, Michael worked on the control systems of machines.
“We had a very productive day at work on a new prototype, – said Mikhail Aleshin. – Together with designers and other experts, we worked on machine controls and layout of some of the devices, their most rational location on the panel.
Of course, this is a small but important part of the tremendous work that is now underway, and I am pleased to make a contribution. I hope to come to the Dallara factory to continue working, and, of course, looking forward to the first tests behind the wheel of a new Russian sport prototype”.
Prototype BR1 is created by the Russian company BR Engineering under the leadership of Boris Rotenberg, together with the Italian Dallara, with the participation of pilots SMP Racing programme. The car is designed for performance in endurance racing in the top LMP1 class.
This is the second machine BR Engineering: 2015-2016 car BR01 pilots SMP Racing programme was performed at the ELMS, where once stood on the podium and in the world championship on races on endurance, where he won a historic podium in the daily marathon “24 hours of Le Mans”.
To develop, build, all necessary studies and tests, and homologation BR1 BR Engineering company intends to spend all of 2017. On his first start in the world championship on races on endurance prototype BR1 will be released in the season of 2018, under the management of the Russian team SMP Racing.
