Bad weather continues to make adjustments in the conduct of the rally-RAID “Dakar-2017”.
The sixth stage prior to the rest day in the Bolivian capital La Paz, was completely canceled due to heavy rains in the region, participants arrived to the bivouac in road mode.
Today, January 9, was the scheduled special stage with a length of 322 km, but in the end the organizers decided to shorten the stage to 161 km and to hold it mainly in the sandy area, reported on the official website of the Dakar.
Before the start the participants have to drive a liaison of 400 km and 240 km road section after the finish. Thus, the day the crews will pass 801 km.
