Russian Anastasiya Nifontova motorcycle racer may be suspended from participation in rally-RAID “Dakar-2017”, which will be held from 2 to 14 January.
As stated in the statement on the official website of the international motorcycle Federation (FIM), the suspension is due to report to the WADA accredited laboratory in Cologne. A doping sample taken on 3 October during the rally of Morocco, found in the blood of athletes banned drug Meldonium. In the result, the FIM has decided to suspend its racing license.
In accordance with Article 220.127.116.11 anti-doping code FIM Nifontova may appeal and retake the test.
