The pilot Force India Sergio Perez has shared his impressions of the Grand Prix of Brazil, which he finished in ninth place.
“The situation is complicated on the first lap, when [Fernando] Alonso pushed me over the track in the second turn,’ said Perez. – I was on the grass and lost the position of [Felipe] Massa. Throughout the race I tried to catch up.
We had the pace to finish in seventh place, but the high temperature of the asphalt complicates the situation, as the level of tire wear increased.
During the race we tried to change strategy, but it was not enough to reach seventh place. In the last laps I was very close to the Ground and Alonso, but Felipe was driving fast on the last sector, and Fernando was strong in the second sector. In addition, Alonso helped to defend the DRS.
Maybe if I had another lap I would have overtaken them. I am glad the conquest points, but not quite happy with the result.”
