The Ferrari pilot Sebastian Vettel commented on his breakthrough from the 20th to fourth place in the Grand Prix of Malaysia, as well as the collision with lance Strolla at the end of the race.
As a result of contact car SF70H Vettel broke the rear left suspension. The stewards have already begun investigating the incident.
Sebastian Vettel collided with lance Strolla already after the race in Sepang
“I chose the outward path in order to collect pieces of rubber, – quotes the German Sky Sports. – I think lance didn’t pay attention to what is happening around, and decided to do the same – pick up rubber.
But that part of the track was me and we had contact – it is absolutely unnecessary contact. I think he just did not look around.
I don’t know [broken transmission]. But I’m sure we all check. That someone decided to collect the tires and crashed into another car, not my fault.
In the race the car was very good. If we started from the top grid, you would have won this race, but this did not happen. I had the fastest car for most of the Grand Prix, however I had to start from last place.
In addition, we should not forget that Kimi [Raikkonen] came down before the start of the Grand Prix, so for us the race went wrong from the very beginning.”
After the Grand Prix of Malaysia in the overall standings of the season-2017 Vettel loses Lewis Hamilton to 34 points.
