The pilot Haas Kevin Magnussen will lose three places on the starting grid of the Grand Prix of the United States for that blocked Sergio Perez in the first segment of qualifying in Austin.
Racer Force India, who was on a fast lap, complained of locking of the Dane in the 13-th and 14-th turns.
Kevin pleaded guilty, noting: “On the radio told me that Perez is on the circle of departure from boxes, so I haven’t missed it. In fact, he was on a fast lap. So I understand why he was so angry at me.
I admit that it’s my fault. I’m sorry it happened.”
Magnussen finished the qualification on the last 20th place. But even with the penalty from the stewards, he will start 18th because of the fines for the replacement of elements of the power plant at Nico and Brendon Hartley.
