Mercedes racer Lewis Hamilton thanked the team and fans for the support on the way to a fourth championship title, which he won ahead of the Grand Prix of Mexico.
“I have to say a big thank you to all the staff of Mercedes in Brackley and Brixworth for their hard work. They made a huge feat, winning the constructors ‘ championship, and helped me to achieve this success, said Hamilton in an interview with Sky Sports F1. – I never give up – this is the approach of our entire team.
As a racer I always try to raise the bar and, of course, was very unhappy when after the start was 40 seconds behind the peloton. I had no idea how the situation in the championship, and was just thinking about what you need to battle forward, to return to the fight and to overtake.
I’m happy to win the championship for the fourth time. Take time to catch up. Remember how in the childhood I dreamed to become the champion of Formula 1, and now 25 years later I four – time world champion.
Many thanks to all the fans for their support. We equally inspire each other. Keep going forward to your goal and never give up. I hope my success is a good example. I had to sacrifice, but I, in spite of that, going forward, also thanks to you. A huge thank you to everyone who supports me. We lose and win together.”
