After another equipment failure in Japan, where on the first lap of the race at Suzuka the fight was forced to stop the Ferrari pilot Sebastian Vettel, his teammate Kimi Raikkonen has urged the team to deal with faults that occur on SF70H over the past two weekends.
Recall that a week ago in Sepang, Raikkonen could not start the race due to a malfunction of the turbocharger.
“The team has made significant progress over the last few years – said Kimi. But for some reason lately, on the machines having technical problems with nothing.
A strange situation because before the race, our machine worked perfectly. Need to do the work in this direction and solve the problem.”
Despite the fact that in the first round in a battle with Nico Hulkenberg, Kimi went off the road and dropped to 14th place, the veteran F1 managed to catch up and finish fifth.
“I had a successful start on the Soft tyres. On the first lap I was able to play several positions, but when I tried to overtake a Renault, you made a mistake and skipped forward several riders.
Honestly, the car balance was not the most optimal throughout the race, some laps were easy for me, others harder.”
