The Haas racing driver Kevin Magnussen missed the official briefing of pilots on the results of Friday’s training in Mexico city because of poor health.
Thus, the Dane will be required to pass a medical examination by the FIA in order to be allowed to the Saturday races.
Boss Haas Gunther Steiner said that Kevin was bothered by stomach pains.
“Now he feels much better, said Steiner in the comments AUTOSPORT.com. – Moreover, I told him to go to the hotel, but we had to ask permission [of the FIA].
When he was in the car, everything was fine. Otherwise, he would not participate in races. Must have developed a stomach virus”.
If Magnussen and Saturday will feel malaise, Haas has the opportunity to replace Kevin’s third driver Antonio Giovinazzi, however, Steiner is confident that the main driver of the American team will have time to recover by Saturday.
“He [Giovinazzi] we don’t need them – continued Gunter. – Yes, it is in our possession, but all will be well. This is only a precaution.”
Note that the results of the second training in Mexico Magnussen showed the 17th time.
