Former Formula 1 driver Jos Verstappen, has shared his impressions of the triumph of his son max on the Grand Prix of Malaysia.
The Dutchman, on the eve celebrated its 20th anniversary, dominated by the course of the race, not counting the first few laps, and the second time in his career he rose to the highest step of the podium.
“You saw it after the first two rounds. The car was fast, he was able to catch up to Lewis, got the opportunity to come forward and made a neat overtaking – said Verstappen Sr. in an interview with Ziggo Sport. – He then controlled the race and when required, answered Hamilton’s best lap time. What a great result!”
Max’s sister Victoria, even burst into tears on the last lap, added: “I’m so happy for him! I was worried that only nothing happened. What a race!”
