Double world champion Fernando Alonso hopes that the upcoming stage in Japan, finally, will be able to reverse the negative trend faced in the last two Grand Prix.
If his partner on McLaren Stoffel Vandorn finished seventh in Singapore and Malaysia, the Spaniard scored no points.
“The last few races have been difficult for me – quoted Alonso press-service of the McLaren. I want to win, and together with my engineers we will try to reverse the situation. We have a fast machine – Stoffel showed what we’re capable of. Bad luck and the traffic did not allow me to score points.
Suzuka is definitely one of my favorite tracks. I, like all the other racers, looking forward to this stage. This is one of the classic tracks with a unique configuration that presents a serious challenge to riders and engineers. So this is the perfect race track”.
