The head of Motorsport division, Honda Yusuke Hasegawa hopes that the encouraging results at the Hungaroring will allow the Japanese manufacturer to continue cooperation with McLaren.
At the Grand Prix of Hungary Fernando Alonso and Stoffel Vandorn put the team nine points.
After a weak start of the season-2017 the management team from Woking has hinted at a potential change of engine supplier.
McLaren Honda have given time till September to prove his worth.
“I’m happy that we’re back in the show and showed a good result [in Hungary]. I think that after this race, our relationship with McLaren will improve – quoted Hasegawa AS. Without any doubt, we want to continue the cooperation with McLaren.
I believe that if we continue working together, we will achieve improved results.”
