The FIA announced that starting with the Italian Grand Prix will be a new limit on oil consumption.
Recently the FIA has reminded teams that use oil as fuel is illegal.
Despite the fact that the new rules have already been agreed for the year 2018, the FIA continues to insist that team and this season did not exceed the above limits.
In a technical Directive before the Grand Prix of Hungary said that in 2018 the maximum oil consumption per 100 km at 0.6 litres.
After analyzing the work of engines in first half of the year, the FIA decided that the Grand Prix of Italy of a new power plant must conform to the limit of 0.9 liters per 100 km.
“We agreed that some would be difficult to keep the limit of 0.6 l / 100 km, so the relief applies to all currently used engines, – I wrote to FIA technical delegate Marcin Budkowski. – However, we expect that oil consumption will be less than 0.9 liters per 100 km with the Italian Grand Prix, otherwise it will be recorded violation of the technical regulations”.
