The Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas believes that his team may face difficulties on the upcoming Hungarian Grand Prix.
“We do not believe that is guaranteed to be the fastest – said Bottas. – It is better to consider yourself a catch-up and strive to improve the car, because in Hungary is very specific route. We were competitive in the last two stages held on fast tracks.
In Baku, everything was fine, even though the trail is there but in Budapest, the conditions are very different: slow corners, and high temperature. We have work to do, and we are not going to stop completion in the course of this season.
The results will depend on the nature of the route. Sure, on some circuits we will see an exciting fight.”
Valtteri Bottas loses the championship leader Sebastian Vettel 23 points, but Finn was the most successful racer in the period from the Monaco Grand Prix.
