In Friday practice in Hungary, Sauber have introduced some aerodynamic updates, including new bodywork and cooling system, which, according to the drivers, worked fine.
However, in the second session, Pascal Wehrlein flew on the 17th lap and broke the car, then went to medical center for examination. Fortunately, the driver was not injured.
“I’m upset that flew into the barriers, but I feel good – admitted Wehrlein. Tests updates were successful, but now we are trying to understand the cause of my incident. I hope we play well in the remaining sessions of the weekend”.
For Wehrlein partner Marcus Ericsson Friday it was quieter.
“I’ve got the weekend started well, – said the Swede. – Updates allowed us to make progress, though I will not say. From the start of the first practice the car was nice to drive, although the second session was more intense. Now we are trying to adjust the settings for tomorrow and Sunday.”
