Reserve pilot Williams Paul di Resta, who rode nearly the whole distance of the Grand Prix of Hungary, hinted that the new machine control is not so difficult.
At the Hungaroring, Paul was replaced about Felipe Massa. Di Resta drove 60 laps in the race, after which the team asked him to return the car to the pits due to a technical fault.
“After the race I got a sore shoulder and nothing more. Here’s what to expect when you first sit behind the wheel of this car, – said in comments to Sky Sports Floors. – It was not as difficult as I thought. Perhaps I needed to go faster.
I was able to practice start only for half an hour before the start of the race, but on the grid too much I pressed the clutch. For this point has a certain time window. I did everything possible to avoid trouble on the first lap.
I haven’t driven the car with this level of downforce, so did not know what to expect, because you’re on the track to fight another 19 guys on the wide cars.
Of course, I wanted to finish the race, but the car had a little oil leak. Since it was a new engine, the team didn’t want to get a penalty on the starting grid”.
