The pilot of Renault Jolyon Palmer completed a qualification at the Hungaroring for the 11th place, but the Briton will start from tenth position on the grid because of the penalty his teammate Nico Hulkenberg.
“The machine is working well,’ said Jolyon. – Of course I’m upset by the defeat in the third segment, but in the race I will start from tenth. This is a great opportunity for a set of points.
We see that the car has a lot of potential. We have got fresh rubber. All we need in a race – get in a good rhythm.”
Hulkenberg finished qualified seventh but will start from 12th place.
“I am very pleased with the car, – said Niko. The machine proved to be excellent throughout the weekend: her balance was great and I was able to demonstrate its full potential in qualifying.
Of course, it is unpleasant to get a penalty on the grid for a gearbox replacement, but that sometimes happens”.
