Former Sauber driver Felipe Nasr admitted that strives to get back into Formula 1, but considering other options.
“I’m still looking for a way to return – he said in an interview with AUTOSPORT. I think I can do it, so choose the options for 2018.
Of course, F1 is plan A, but there is a plan B: IndyCar, Formula E and WEC, these series are interesting to me.
Before you make a decision, I will definitely explore all options.”
Nasr acknowledged that the situation is complicated by the number of places on the starting grid in F1.
“I wish F1 was more like one or two teams not only for me but for any driver aspiring to, continued Felipe. – But things can change, and most importantly – my good form. I trained hard to prepare for this season, so will be able at any moment to jump behind the wheel of any car and show that it is still competitive.
I have no regrets, but not just through the inability to drive. It is important that I’m ready for anything, and soon take a decision.”
Nasr hopes that his connections with compatriots will help to open doors in IndyCar.
“I always watched the Indy – confessed racer. – There are a lot of Brazilians, and I have an especially good relationship with Elio [Castroneves] because it went for the team with my uncle in F3”.
