Ward of the Red Bull Racing driver Max Verstappen has admitted that while he is unhappy with the way are going for him this season.
The reason for this was the gathering in the race in Montreal just at the moment when Max started brilliantly and rode second behind Lewis Hamilton.
“Have plummeted power, all off, even the screen on the handlebars so I couldn’t contact the team. Frustrating that this happens when going second, Max described the incident in an interview with Ziggo Sport. Start was great – probably the best start for Red Bull. A complete nightmare, we are left with empty hands, because I could finish second or third”.
Verstappen also answered the question about the prospects for Red Bull Racing to Azerbaijan: “to be honest, I’m getting a little worried. So far, the season-2017 folds sucks”.
Max was angry after the Monaco Grand Prix, when due to the wrong strategy it was the fifth, but a weekend in Canada liked him even less.
“Our car is good enough for second place, but we could in this race to be there, given how hard it is to overtake,” concluded Max.
Team principal Christian Horner agreed with his pupil: “If we made a pit-stop, he could become the second, because it is well kept, Valtteri [Bottas]”.
As described this fight Verstappen: “No the fight was not, I was just gone from him.”
Horner, however, believes that the encouragement of speech outweighs the disappointment of the gathering: “it is Clear that he is disappointed, but we need to look at the big picture. He does great shows, the car is getting better with each race and at the restart he did and fought for the first place.
Yes, the result disappointed him, but the season is long, everything will be fine”.
