Force India racer Sergio Perez commented on his performance in qualifying At the Monaco Grand Prix, which took seventh place.
“I am very happy with the result and believe that we have achieved the maximum – quoted Peres press-service of Force India. In Monaco every lap in qualifying is crucial, and to show a good time to attack from the start.
We timed it right, avoiding traffic, and I immediately found the right rhythm, so in the first segment was enough for one attempt.
I am proud of the performance of the team, just wish that Esteban could not pass the third part of qualifying.
In Monaco can happen anything, so I don’t want to make a prediction. Ahead of a long race, during which for a moment we need to be focused because any mistake could lead to puncture or immediately. Need to concentrate on work and try to achieve another good result.”
Esteban Windows that counts the 16th, he added: “I’m upset, because the speed of the machine allowed to go in the third segment, as did Sergio. But this is what happens when you break the car before qualification.
Both teams of mechanics have done everything possible to be in time to restore the car to the beginning of the first segment demonstrates our team spirit, I must thank all the staff.
Alas, after returning to the track the car worked not as good as before the accident. Had to adapt quickly, but paced training records, could not be found. All things considered, the 16-th place was our maximum. But I hope to be able to compete for points. The race is long and anything can happen.”
