Lewis Hamilton has admitted that because of the drag race he never had a real childhood.
The triple world champion started his career with karting, after which under the patronage of McLaren and Ron Dennis continued his ascent in the Junior categories.
“I was deprived of the opportunity to develop in a natural way, – said the Mercedes driver in an interview with Australian Men’s Health. – I could not really chat with friends, because he was occupied only with the races and things.”
Hamilton criticized the fact that the sport requires riders too a serious toll in terms of lifestyle: “You must at all costs to fit into this incredibly boring lifestyle. Not doing anything, just racing. It is impossible to be happy, not to smile.
I do not lead the lifestyle of a playboy. I focused on other races, but they have another life after racing, they are sent home, the events will not meet them.
I do as much as the others, if not more, but I have enough energy to workout, travel, love of music, fashion and reading. I want to try everything.
If I have the opportunity to be in the Studio with Jay Z or Pharrell, I do take advantage of her? Of course! I like to spend time with the best.
But I can easily stop. Even though I’ve achieved more than I could dream of, I’m still hungry to win”.
