According to the global survey conducted by Motorsport Network among more than 200 thousand fans, a three-time world champion Lewis Hamilton is the most popular Formula 1 driver and Ferrari the most popular team.
Hamilton scored 20.7 percent of the vote, while the second, despite the lack of victories over the last four years, was Fernando Alonso with 18.3% of votes, according to AUTOSPORT.
Championship leader Sebastian Vettel took fourth place behind including teammate at Ferrari, Kimi Raikkonen.
Max Verstappen, who is a sports consultant to Red Bull Racing last fall was named the most popular driver in Formula 1, settled in sixth place with 7.4% of votes.
Among the teams the first place confidently took the Ferrari. The Scuderia has received almost twice more votes, than the nearest competitor 31.9 per cent against 16.2 per cent at Mercedes.
Third place with 15.8 per cent went to the team McLaren, despite all of its problems in recent years.
